| Job Description:
- Technisource seeks a Technical Project Systems Engineer to lead SP Cloud Architecture end-to-end solutions and application testing within the Customer in San Jose (California) US.
- This role will have responsibility for daily engagement with the field sales organization and customers within the projects lab:
- Design, build and conduct proof-of-concept tests to help with the successful conclusion of sales focused in the areas of Data Center and Virtualization Technologies and Solutions.
- Participate in the design and building of end-to-end solution and application support tests.
- Deliver customer presentations and execute test plans in person and leveraging virtual capabilities.
- Work with partner technologies, both hardware and software, in the development and validation of solutions around Data Center and Virtualization
- Translate, transfer and disseminate acquired product and technology knowledge to both internal and external customers through the creation of white papers, presentations, or other publications.
- Provide technical consulting support for other locations globally, company's sales organization and partner communities.
Requirements Technical expertise in all or some of the following is required:
- Recent hands-on experience (and scripting skills) with Windows and/or UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability with application level testing and optimization
- Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB or SAP administration skills.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting servers, clusters, and associated software.
- Hands-on experience with business continuity, backup and archiving methodologies and software.
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, SAN, NAS and/or IP storage environments. In depth knowledge on the company's UCS products and computing environments.
- Experience with file systems, logical volume managers and protocols (CIFS, iSCSI, etc.)
- Experience with server virtualization (VMware ESX, etc.)
- Experience with EMC and/or NetApp storage systems and SAN protocols
- Experience with Orchestration systems, such as BMC/Tidal/Newscale and V-Cloud Director
- Experience with virtual desktop systems(VDI), such as VMware view and Citrix
Experience and capabilities of ideal candidate:
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.
- Have in-depth Data Center and Networking skills. Knowledge is required in the areas of design, configuration, problem-resolution, management, and performance testing.
- Experience in the design delivery and operation of managed cloud computing services.
- 6+ years' experience in server/storage software/hardware, network operating systems and applications.
- Success in this role involves maintaining current awareness of competitive offerings and being able to effectively articulate differentiating features and benefits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role within the team
